We want to hear from our “Vines” and love to discuss the game. HoopsVine.com mission is clear - to provide our readers with the latest NBA news and rumors and in-depth coverage outside of the traditional mainstream formats. HoopsVine.com is not a stat site. There are plenty of solid outlets that can provide you with up to the minute stats. We pride ourselves in our daily NBA rumors section which provides links to the latest news from the press. HoopsVine.com was created in 2006 by Lang and is a legal subsidiary of Jack Langston LLC. Lang has appeared in numerous publications – quickly establishing HoopsVine.com as an up and coming go-to source for objective basketball news. Born and raised in Paterson, New Jersey, Lang attended state basketball powerhouse Paterson Catholic Regional High School. Lang started Varsity for the Cougars’ football team, but is proud that he was part of the Cougars’ basketball squad (JV) back in 1993-94. Playing with the squad and being a practice scrimmage nuisance for players that went on to play in the NBA or NCAA Division I basketball provided good experience about being an underdog. The ability to do more with fewer resources is the same philosophy Lang brings to HoopsVine.com After high school, Lang landed at perennial MEAC powerhouse South Carolina State University and he still thinks that his alma mater could have beaten the Jacque Vaughn led Kansas Jayhawks squad in the 1997 NCAA Tournament. Lang is a proud member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Incorporated and considers Vince Carter’s monstrous dunk over Alonzo Mourning - frat-on-frat violence. Lang received an MBA from Winthrop University and is an avid supporter of both SC State & Winthrop athletic programs. Lang lives in Atlanta, Georgia with his wife Latoya and their daughter.
